Standardsco, a newly established federal not-for-profit corporation, will be formed in response to the recommendations of the Independent Review Committee on Standard Setting in Canada. The Standardsco Search Committee is currently seeking qualified individuals to join our Inaugural Board of Directors, including the pivotal role of Chair. In partnership with the leadership advisory firm Odgers Berndtson, the Standardsco Search Committee encourages interested candidates to apply promptly.

Global Initiative to Develop Financial Reporting Guidance for Not-for-Profit Organizations (#IFR4NPO) 

AcSB staff are participating in a global initiative to develop non-authoritative financial reporting guidance for not-for-profit organizations (NFPOs) in jurisdictions that, unlike Canada, currently do not have NFPO accounting standards. The first in a series of three Exposure Drafts has recently been issued. Interested Canadians are encouraged to respond by March 31, 2023. Read our article for full details.
